Feb.13,2017 Cambodia's mine-clearing and Playing volleyball

I visited Tasaen village at Battambang Province in northwestern Cambodia with Olympians and the Japanese TV Asahi cameramen.

 

 

Cambodia was littered with landmines and unexploded bombs - a bitter legacy of decades of civil war that lasted until 1990s. These days, Cambodia has a reputation as a world leader in the dangerous work of mine-cleaning.

 A Japanese Mr.Takayama has been working there for 10 years. He is a mine-cleaning expert. There are more than 6 million landmines planted across Cambodia.

Today, we played volleyball with children on the ground that Mr.Takayama and five Cambodian deminers removed the landmines. And he is promoting the deveropment of industry there.
